About

What  is  F8  Movement?

F8 Movement is Indianapolis’ leading parkour and ninja-style training gym for kids, teens, and adults. We help students of all ages build strength, confidence, and creativity through real-world movement.

Whether your child is outgrowing beginner ninja classes or you're seeking an exciting alternative to traditional sports, Our expert coaches specialize in youth development programs that build agility, coordination, and lifelong physical literacy—and in helping adults rediscover fitness through a fun, instructional, and supportive community.

At the heart of F8 is a deeper philosophy. Pronounced “fate,” F8 Movement believes everyone is fated to move. We teach through the lens of our 8 F’s:
Freedom, Flow, Fitness, Focus, Flexibility, Foundation, Flourish, and Fun—all of which can be gained through intentional movement.

We offer inclusive, ability-aware coaching that adapts to each student’s level—regardless of age, background, or experience. Our mission is to share the spirit of parkour to 200,000 people in the Midwest while creating quality sustainable job positions for those that are passionate.

Founded by Owner and Head Coach Scott Lytle (Scotty), F8 is built on a belief that movement is essential to a joyful, resilient life. Scotty’s goal is to introduce parkour in a way that’s not only fun, but educational, sustainable, and transformative.

What is Parkour?

Parkour is a Discipline in which you run, jump, climb, and roll in order to overcome obstacles in your environment safely, both mentally and physically. It was originally created for Safety and Evacuation by the Yamakasi in 1995 and is known as Art Du Deplacment, The Yamakasi also used it to test the limits of their capabilities. It is still used today in order to test your limits and help navigate emergency situations safely and efficiently. Although not all parkour practitioners (traceurs) train for these reasons everyone has their own justification for training most can agree on training for self-improvement and strengthening the attributes of Fitness. The benefits of parkour can be applied to all physical activities. It enhances your Balance, Agility, Strength, Endurance, Spatial awareness, & more.
